CORNELL HERMETIC REFRIGERANT PUMP
HERMETIC TECHNOLOGY
- Allows the pump to operate without the need for a mechanical shaft seal
NPSHR
- Exceptional NPSHR characteristics
- Characteristics are enhanced throughout entire operating range due to the single stage impeller and four pole operating speed
Vapor Handling
- Enhanced vapor handling abilities due to single stage impellers with large eye areas
CORNELL OPEN-DRIVE REFRIGERANT PUMP
REFRIGERANT EMISSION FREE™ SEALING TECHNOLOGY
- An ultra-reliable system consisting of two mechanical seals mounted back to back
- Inboard seal prevents escape of refrigerant from
the pump casing
- Outboard seal acts as a fail-safe or backup, and
provides containment of a system compatible
barrier fluid.
NPSHR
- Exceptional NPSHR characteristics
- Characteristics are enhanced throughout entire operating range due to the single stage impeller and four pole operating speed
Vapor Entrainment
- Seals are oil lubricated, and do not rely on the presence of pumpage for lubrication or cooling
- The double mechanical sealing system allows the pump to continue to run until the system stabilizes and the pump re-primes itself nuisance-tripping is avoided
Pump Guardian Pump Controllers
The Pump Guardian is a fully integrated controller designed specifically for use with industrial refrigeration pumps . It simplifies control circuit wiring, consolidates pump protecting devices, keeps the operator informed as to the pump status, and eliminates nuisance shutdowns.
Unlike most pump controllers, it provides excess recycling (on/off) protection to prevent unnecessary pump damage due to a reoccurring system problem. Motor over-temperature monitoring and protection is built-in for pumps having integral motor thermistors (as is standard on Hansen CNF series pumps). The Pump Guardian has a computer compatible RS232 serial communications port which enables access to stored information regarding pump.
Constant Flow Regulators
These carefully designed and manufactured Constant Flow Regulators accurately control the flow rate from refrigerant liquid pumps. They modulate to maintain a precalibrated ideal constant flow of refrigerant independent of pressure changes. A properly-selected flow regulator can minimize the tendency of a pump to operate in a high NPSH pump region of the pump curve and consequently cavitate , and thus possibly lose prime and cease pumping.
Applications :
These Constant Flow Regulators are designed for refrigeration systems. While primarily intended to be installed at the outlet of refrigerant liquid pumps, these versatile regulators can be used to control flow to individual circuits of large evaporators in place of hand expansion valves or other balancing devices in liquid overfeed systems.
Hermetic Liquid Refrigerant Pumps
This broad line of Hermetic Liquid Refrigerant Pumps offers a simple, proven design which is quiet and compact. These pumps have no shaft seals to leak to atmosphere. The rotor of the direct drive motor is inside of a stainless steel "can" while the external electrical stator is surrounded by an additional pressure-tight housing to further ensure against any possible loss of fluid. Lubrication and cooling is performed internally by the pumped refrigerant; no oil is required.
The Hansen Hermetic Pump series includes small and medium-size CAM models, which feature multistage impeller construction, as well as the larger CNF models, which feature single impeller construction supplemented by an axial flow inducer stage. Both models have low NPSH requirements. GPM range is 7 to 300 GPM and temperature range is -60°F to +194°F (-50°C to +90°C) and to -150°F (-101°C) with special construction.
Applications:
Suitable for industrial liquid overfeed (recirculation) systems, cold weather liquid line pressure boosting for ammonia plants or supermarkets.
