These rugged Strainers (Filters) are specifically designed to facilitate the removal of foreign materials from refrigeration systems. Strainers help prevent damage to valves and other components, thereby reducing costly service and downtime. They can also be installed as a separate unit. They are available in 1/2" to 6" (13 mm to 150 mm) sizes.

Applications:

Applications include liquid lines, hot gas lines, suction lines, and oil lines. Strainers are usually close-coupled to solenoid valves, pressure regulators or other flanged valves.

Liquid Refrigerant Filter System

The liquid refrigerant filter system features a filter construction that removes much smaller dirt particles than conventional liquid strainers (extra fine 120 mesh). The "brains" of the filter system monitor the pressure drop across the filter and can alert the operator when the filter needs cleaning. The fully-assembled and tested filter system comes complete with the valves and controls needed to quickly and safely pump-out the filter system for cleaning.

Applications:

For most effective results, the Hansen Liquid Refrigerant Filter System should be installed at the discharge of the liquid overfeed pump or on the high-pressure liquid line after the high-pressure receiver.
