TO: All Roper Pump, Hansen Technologies, and FTI Employees

Early this morning, our parent company, Roper Technologies, announced that it had reached an agreement to sell a majority stake in its industrial businesses to Clayton, Dubilier & Rice (“CD&R”). Roper Pump, Hansen Technologies and FTI are three of the sixteen businesses included in this transaction. Also included are Alpha, AMOT, CCC, Cornell, Dynisco, Hardy, Logitech, Metrix, PAC, Struers, Technolog, Uson, and Viatran.

Roper Technologies will retain a 49% minority interest in the resulting new standalone entity, and Roper executives will serve on the new entity’s Board of Directors. We expect this transaction to close by the end of 2022.

We are excited to partner with CD&R given their remarkable track record of successful corporate partnerships. Operating as a standalone entity will enable our businesses to build on our niche-leading strategies and continue creating value for our customers and shareholders.

For each business, there is no change to your objectives. Continue being a great business, serving customers, and executing against your strategy. Each company will follow up this communication with employee meetings later today.

This is a very exciting time for our businesses. It is an opportunity to benefit from having new owners with investment capacity more compatible with industrial companies.

The press release for this morning’s announcement will be on the Roper website at www.ropertech.com.

RE: COVID-19 UPDATES

TO: All Roper Pump & Hansen Technologies Company Employees

The CDC has recently updated their guidance for wearing masks based on the measure of the impact of COVID-19 illness on health and healthcare systems.

All counties surrounding Roper Pump Company & Hansen Technologies have experienced a significant decline in COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations. The Jackson County COVID-19 Community level has now fallen below “high”, indicating that the CDC guidance on the use of masks has now been loosened.

Therefore, we are making the following update to our pandemic policy, which will be effective Tuesday, March 1st until further notice.

Masks will be considered optional, and will no longer be required for all employees and visitors in our Commerce facilities. For those individuals who are at high risk for severe illness, we recommend you talk to your healthcare provider about whether you need to wear a mask and take other precautions.

We will continue to monitor COVID-19 cases in our local communities and adjust our COVID-19 policies based on the CDC’s guidance.

In the event you feel sick, believe you have been exposed to a positive COVID-19 case, or have tested positive for COVID-19, please follow the guidelines below:

1. If YOU were exposed to COVID-19 and are not up-to-date on COVID-19 vaccinations:

  • Quarantine for at least 5 days

  • Get tested

  • Wear a mask for 10 full days any time you are around others in public.

2. If YOU were exposed to COVID-19 and are up-to-date on COVID-19 vaccinations:

  • Get tested at least 5 days after you last had close contact with someone with COVID-19

  • Wear a mask for 10 full days any time you are around others in public.

3. If YOU were exposed to COVID-19 and had confirmed COVID-19 within the past 90 days:

  • No quarantine is needed. You do not need to stay home unless you develop symptoms

  • Wear a mask for 10 full days any time you are around others in public.

4. If YOU tested positive for COVID-19 or have symptoms, regardless of vaccination status:

RE: COVID-19 UPDATES

To: All Roper Pump & Hansen Technologies Company Employees

The CDC has recently updated their guidance for isolation and quarantine periods for the general population. Therefore, we are making the following update to our pandemic policy which will be effective Thursday December 30th until further notice:

  1. MASKS: Masks are to be worn by all vaccinated and unvaccinated employees and visitors while in conference rooms, training rooms, shared office spaces, shared plant areas and when approached in your work area and social distancing is not possible.

    1. Masks should be worn properly as intended and not under the nose or around the chin, negating the protective measures of wearing the mask. Please see below for the correct way to wear a mask. Employees found not following our mask policy are subject to disciplinary actions up to and including termination.

    2. Roper Pump Company and Hansen Technologies will continue to provide masks to employees. Employees may contact their supervisor or Human Resources if they need additional masks. Disposable and cloth masks are available for employee use.

  2. CLOSE CONTACT- ISOLATION/QUARANTINE: Close contact is defined as being within 6 feet of an unmasked COVID case for more than 15 minutes. If you have been in close contact with a known COVID case:

    1. Vaccinated employees: Unless symptomatic, you are not required to quarantine. Vaccinated employees are not required to test if there are no symptoms.

    2. Unvaccinated employees: Immediately quarantine for 5 days. Unvaccinated employees will be required to be tested on day 5 before returning to work.

  3. POSITIVE TEST: ISOLATION/QUARANTINE:

    1. Vaccinated employees: Immediately quarantine for 5 days. If no symptoms or symptoms are resolving after 5 days and no fever, you may return to work.

    2. Unvaccinated employees: Immediately quarantine for 5 days. If no symptoms or symptoms are resolving after 5 days and no fever, you may return to work.

We will continue to adjust our COVID-19 policies based on the CDC’s guidance.

The best way to prevent severe illness, hospitalizations, and death as well as keep your family members and fellow employees safe is to get vaccinated.

What additional steps you can take:

Stay at home, if you are sick: If you or a family member become ill and start to show the following symptoms, do not come to work: Fever, Cough, and Shortness of Br e a t h. If you or a family member continue to have these symptoms and remain undiagnosed, do not come to work. Work with your manager and Human Resources to review options as well as documentation needed for approved time off.

Avoid close contact with people who are sick.

Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.

Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.

Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after going to the bathroom; before eating; and after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing.

May 18, 2021

To: All Roper Pump Company & Hansen Technologies Employees

Over one year ago COVID-19 brought many changes to our personal and our work lives.  While COVID-19 still continues to impact society, we are ready to start the journey back to normalcy.  As previously communicated. all office personnel in the Commerce location will return to the office on June 1, 2021.  In addition to this, please see below the following updates to our Pandemic Policies.

New updates to the Pandemic Policy:

  • Masks: The CDC recently released guidelines for those individuals who are vaccinated and those individuals who are not vaccinated.

    • Vaccinated employees will no longer need to wear a mask.

    • We strongly recommend those employees who are un-vaccinated to continue to do so for the protection of themselves and others.

  • Vaccinations: While we will not mandate vaccinations or request proof for the same, we strongly encourage everyone to get vaccinated.

  • COVID Symptoms or Infection

    • If you are sick and suspect COVID, please get a test completed.

    • If you test positive then you are required to quarantine per CDC guidelines.  Notify your supervisor & HR of your absence.  You may be asked to provide a doctor’s note to return to work

    • Daily cleaning/sanitizing along with any deep cleaning of areas exposed to infected will continue as needed

    • Masks, cleaning supplies, and hand sanitizer will still be available for all employees

We will continue to monitor updates and guidelines from the CDC and OSHA. We reserve the right to update and modify our Pandemic Policy according to these new guidelines.

November 13, 2020

To: All Hansen Technologies Employees (GA & IL)

In our earlier communication on November 12, we shared information about 2 confirmed positive cases at Hansen Technologies. In addition to these 2 individuals, we are also now aware of two additional individuals that are awaiting test results but have not been confirmed positive for Covid 19.

After reviewing work schedules and locations in the plant, we have identified 19 Hansen employees that have potentially been in proximity to one of these four individuals.  All 19 of these employees have been informed of this situation.

Out of abundance of caution to all our employees, we are taking the following steps to ensure personnel safety (first) followed by business continuity if and where possible.

  1. Continue to clean and sanitize all known areas that were exposed to the four employees in question or the 19 that were in their proximity.

  2. Facilitate mandatory Covid 19 testing for the 19 individuals that have been in proximity to confirmed positive cases or those employees awaiting test results. HR (Katye Semanson) will facilitate scheduling to have the tests conducted as soon as possible. Until the employees receive their test results they will quarantine. The employees who test negative and do not have any symptoms of Covid 19 will be allowed to return to work. A positive test will require the employees to continue to quarantine per CDC guidelines for 14 days from date of exposure (estimated to be Monday, November 23, 2020).

  3. Any additional Hansen or Roper Pump employee that has not been notified by us of potential exposure but wishes to get tested for Covid 19, please contact HR (Katye Semanson or Dana Kinney).  HR will facilitate testing in these situations as well. Return to work guidelines will be communicated with the employees who request testing. These guidelines will be based on information provided to us on their potential exposure to individuals with confirmed positive COVID 19 results.

  4. Until further notice, masks will be required in the building at all times.

Our number one goal is to ensure that we navigate these difficult times by keeping everyone safe.  When we have addressed the need to keep our employees safe, we will then make every effort to ensure business continuity so we can continue to serve our customers and our employees.

We sincerely appreciate your patience and cooperation in this regard.

To: All Hansen Technologies Employees

As many states have lifted stay-at-home orders including Georgia, Hansen has made the decision to end the split shifts operation for shop employees at the Commerce facility beginning Tuesday May 19, 2020.

Office employees will be returning to the office setting over the next 6 weeks. You will work directly with your manager on the exact date to return into the office and you may be asked to stagger your transition back with others in your department. We expect this transition to occur between June 1 and July 1 of 2020.

As always, the safety and well-being of our employees is the number 1 priority and commitment of Hansen Technologies. Below are some guidelines to follow during this time:

  • All safety protocols put in place prior to split shifts and work from home will continue:

    • Increased cleaning and sanitizing of restrooms and common areas

    • Providing hand sanitizer and disinfecting wipes at all work stations

    • Social distancing of 6 feet whenever possible; else recommend wearing masks

    • No gathering in common areas such as breakrooms, kitchens, etc.

    • Visitors will not be allowed without prior authorization of senior staff

    • Meetings will still be conducted via zoom media or in small groups where social distancing of at least 6 feet can be observed

  • Masks will be provided to all employees

  • Please wear a mask when you cannot effectively maintain social distancing of 6 feet or more per CDC guidance

Before you come to work each day, ensure that you are healthy:

  • Notify your supervisor and stay home for the following reasons:

    • You are sick

    • You are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms (fever, cough, shortness of breath)

    • You have been around someone with COVID-19 symptoms

    • You have reason to believe you may have COVID-19

March 25, 2020

To: Hansen Technologies (GA) and Roper Pump Company (GA)

We have been notified by an employee that they may be exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19.  This employee has not received a formal diagnosis of the virus, but has been advised to self-quarantine by a physician.  The employee last reported to work on Saturday March 21.  We have taken the following actions since receiving this notification:

1.    Our outside cleaning service has been scheduled to conduct a deep cleaning of the employee’s area this afternoon.

2.    We will provide masks to the employees working within the identified area to minimize the risk to others.

3.    We have requested that the employee provide a return to work note from a physician before reporting back to work.

Our top priorities remain: 1) keeping our employees healthy and safe; 2) keeping our plants running so our employees get paid.  With this in mind, we continue to strive towards keeping the company strong for ourselves and our customers.  Roper Pump Company and Hansen Technologies are essential businesses to everyday activities.  The products we produce are critical to maintain the movement of the economy.  We will continue to provide these necessary products, but only without jeopardizing our own health and safety.

We would like to take this opportunity to remind everyone of the actions both companies will continue to take:

  • Prevention:

    • The additional cleaning of your work areas at the start of every shift.  If for some reason you are unable to find these cleaning items in the plant, please contact your supervisor.

    • Additional cleaning times to break rooms and restrooms.

    • Additional cleaning times to office areas.

    • Hand sanitizers and anti-bacterial soap throughout the plant and in restrooms.  If for some reason you are unable to find these items in the plant, please contact HR.

    • Illustrations on proper hand washing and the proper way to cover your cough and sneeze are posted.

  • Communication:

    • Roper Pump Company/Hansen Technologies Website Employee Link: Employees are be able to access updates via an employee link on the individual company website (www.hantech.comwww.roperpumps.com ).

    • Roper Pump Company/Hansen Technologies Information Call Number (TX/GA Only): You may call our Information Call Number (706-336-3323) to get updates in the event we are instructed to modify our hours of operation.  You will not be able to leave a message. This phone line is for information/updates only.

    • Continuing to communicate updates and information as it relates to our employees and businesses.

What steps you can take:

  1. Stay at home, if you are sick: If you or a family member become ill and start to show the following symptoms, do not come to work: Fever, Cough, and Shortness of Breath.  According to the CDC, these symptoms can appear anywhere between 2-14 days after exposure.  If you or a family member continue to have these symptoms and remain undiagnosed, do not come to work.  Work with your manager and Human Resources to review options as well as documentation needed for approved time off.

  2. Avoid close contact with people who are sick.

  3. Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.

  4. Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.

  5. Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces using a regular household cleaning spray or wipe.

  6. Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after going to the bathroom; before eating; and after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing.  (Please see corresponding illustrations on the proper way to wash your hands.)

While there seem to be continued questions around addressing the symptoms of COVID-19 and isolation, we thought the information below might be helpful. Continue to visit the CDC website for additional information:  https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-nCoV/index.html

Individuals with COVID-19 who have stayed home (home isolated) can stop home isolation under the following conditions:

  • If you will not have a test to determine if you are still contagious, you can leave home after these three things have happened

    • You have had no fever for at least 72 hours (that is three full days of no fever without the use medicine that reduces fevers)
      AND

    • other symptoms have improved (for example, when your cough or shortness of breath have improved) AND

    •  at least 7 days have passed since your symptoms first appeared

  • If you will be tested to determine if you are still contagious, you can leave home after these three things have happened:

    • You no longer have a fever (without the use medicine that reduces fevers)
      AND

    •  other symptoms have improved (for example, when your cough or shortness of breath have improved)
      AND
you received two negative tests in a row, 24 hours apart. Your doctor will follow CDC guidelines.

Individuals with laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 who have not had any symptoms may discontinue home isolation when at least 7 days have passed since the date of their first positive COVID-19 diagnostic  test and have had no subsequent illness.

In all cases, follow the guidance of your healthcare provider and local health department. The decision to stop home isolation should be made in consultation with your healthcare provider and state and local health departments. Local decisions depend on local circumstances.

Footnote:

*This recommendation will prevent most, but may not prevent all instances of secondary spread.  The risk of transmission after recovery, is likely very substantially less than that during illness.

**All test results should be final before isolation is ended. Testing guidance is based upon limited information and is subject to change as more information becomes available

Note that we reserve the right to request a return to work note from a physician before reporting to work for anyone suspected of contracting COVID-19.

Please contact us with any questions or concerns.
